The Auxiliary to BC Children’s Hospital is a self-governing membership organization that is independently organized to support the care provided for patients.

The Auxiliary is founded by persons from the community who agree to work together to assist a health care institution in promoting the health and welfare of the community.

Since the Auxiliary began in 1982, it has have performed a vital role in supporting the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The Auxiliary’s Board of Directors has ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of the Auxiliary organization on behalf of the total membership and in the interests of the institution. The Auxiliary Board serves as the leadership body, formulating policy and plans for the auxiliary.
